Baking soda can be abrasive to the teeth and gums for long term brushing, so as soon as your teeth are white then you can use salt instead dissolved in some water. A little baking soda or sodium bicarbonate can also be added from time to time. I like to put 1 drop of peppermint essential oil in with the salt water mixture for that fresh taste and nice smelling breath.
